This is Sierra, she came to us quite a mess...she had a bad uterine infection.
We were told she was used in a rodeo as a pick-up horse. We noticed she had some spur scars on her shoulders, & flanks. So she was probably used as a bucking horse. We found this out when we put a saddle on her with a lightweight, experienced rider. Sierra went into bucking fits, especially when something came near those spur scars.
Today Sierra is doing quite well. She is happy living among the herd, and has had no more infections. But still has bad memories connected to the saddle.
