As you all know, a horse is a prey animal.
as well as a herd animal. A horse doesn't think things will hurt him. He thinks it will Kill
him! That is why horses spook so easily. They fear for their life.
A horse has a split brain. A thinking side &
a reacting side. Mother nature tells them to run first & think later.
We have to teach them to use the thinking
side of their brain, and think first. When you begin to train your horse, you have to train both sides. The right side, and the left side.
Remember, new side, new horse. That eye hasn't seen the same thing the other eye has seen. Because they have a split brain.
A horse is a herd animal. They need another horse around them. They are social creatures. Like a small child, they can't learn the language of the horse if they are never taught, buy an older horse.
